Summer Camp For My Little One!

So I dropped off my little one to Summer Camp. The camp is called Kennolyn Camp. It is located south of San Jose. Today is the first day of camp, so the drop off at the main gate is pretty packed. The camp counselors and camp leaders helped unload all the heavy items and directed us to park up the hill.

Campers range from elementary school all the way up to freshmen in high school. This is what summer is all about: your child meeting their new "bestest" friend, camping outdoors, roasting marshmallows, swimming, obstacle courses, caring for animals, basketball, baseball, soccer, hiking archery, rifle shooting, ziplines, rock climbing, trapeze...yes I said it! Trapeze!

It's not cheap, but if you can afford to send your child to this camp, definitely do it. I talked to some of the camp leaders and most of them camped here when they were kids. Not only that, but I think I talked to a couple that were from United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Hungary, and Spain. So there are a lot of international diversity, literally.

I just hope my little one have fun and make exciting memories!

Mel's New Dish - The Hangover

Last weekend, I decided to go to my neighborhood Original Mel's Diner for breakfast. I like Mel's because of the good people and service. Also they have these big screen televisions all over the place and they usually have it on a sporting event or ESPN which is great for me.

So I noticed they have a new menu. I glanced at it and saw they still have my favorites (steak with eggs or french toast with sausages). But I saw the Hangover so I decided to try it. So basically the Hangover consists of hash browns, topped by 2 biscuits (sliced in halves), topped with meat gravy, topped with eggs of your choice.

I like my eggs scrambled, but it was my mistake to order 2 more sides of sausage patties. I tried to finish it but I can only get halfway. The hash browns and the biscuits filled me up. The meat gravy was also filling! Oh my, it was definitely a challenge!

Pretz, Pretz, Pretz

So we went to Ranch 99 to get some snacks and replenish our Pretz Salad supply. They are from Glico, the makers of Pocky Sticks.

We tried the Pretz Salad before and we liked it. It has a nice lightly salted, tomato taste. We saw the Pretz Roast and decided to try it. What surprised me was the Pretz Roast tasted similar to toasted buttered bread with sugar on it.

I like it. I think it works with hot coffee or hot chocolate. If I see any new Pretz in the vicinity, I will definitely try some more!
